State of Charlotte is a student project produced by UNC School of Media and Journalism in partnership with The Daily Tar Heel. Students from various disciplines across the school worked together to conceive, design, build, gather, edit and produce interactive and multimedia storytelling content. The site was completed in less than 24 hours while reporters, videographers and photographers traveled to Charlotte and covered the Thursday night protests.
